you guys are gonna find this hard to believe. really. this fine art piece here is conceptualized and created with no Photoshop, a single light and a medium format digital back. it captures more than just me but the soul within...
the painter captures two poses, but not as a series of individual images. in fact they have never been composited together in Photoshop! this was photographed in a single exposure using a light-painting technique. charlie, The Painter of Light, uses a light-painting brush to paint light over the subject. because the studio is darkened (in fact, very dark!), charlie can selectively choose specific areas to illuminate and paint while in the dark. via a masterful control of lights and shadows, charlie is able to capture the soul within to add a new dimension and zest to an otherwise ordinary pic. highly recommended!!
