I was a bit sneaky and looked the charity up on the Charity Commission web site when I first heard about this project.
As you can see, their primary aim is, "(A) THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION"
I have grave concerns about an organisation that seemingly thinks that marooning young people in the middle of the Humber while they detox for a few weeks will cure them. That's all they ever seem to talk about, there's never any mention of how they'll actually rehabilitate these poor lost souls, never any mention of after care.
They don't seem to have any projects set up anywhere else yet; Googling produces limited results, the link to their web site from the Charities Commission web site is a dead link.
I wrote about this before sometime ago. My point was then, and still is, that it would be very easy to get a vulnerable young person, going through the horror of detox, (and I'm not just thinking of the unpleasant physical symptoms here, there's the guilt, the craving, the self loathing and crippling depression to consider as
