I HAD to check the Juve forum. There was the inevitable thread "Have you seen canna against Barca?????" BUT most of the juve fans are defending him because Real's tactic was way off. THey feel there was not much he could do about it. Was very very relieved when I saw it.

This is not a defense that can handle a club like Barca, so this was never going to be an easy match for him. The fact that Juande decided to try to beat Barca at their own game blew up in his face, and parking the bus might have been the better option tonight. Either way, he wasn't the worst defender tonight. That has to go to Sergio.

The result is awful, but he really wasn't too bad. It's certainly not the worst match he's played for the club. If anything, it's cute to see how many times he tries to cover the entire back line by himself in his attempt to protect Iker.

Thanks for the info, I might watch it in time. But right now, I'm taking the ostrich approach and keeping my head buried in the sand. I'm avoiding the news feeds too.

Well after watching Juve's defense give up the equalizer in the dying seconds, it doesn't matter how bad Canna looked yesterday. He's still better than what they have now. Gigi looked about to cry right there on the pitch when the equalizer came in the 93rd minute.

I'm not sad (though I'll miss Cannikey - imagined me saying this 2 years ago??? *g*).

But I'm afraid of the next season. The first matches (and his performances) will be extremely, extremely important. Hope he can handle all this pressure!

I'm going to miss Cannikey soooooo much. The only reason I don't want him to leave. They will both move on...although I don't want them to. :(

It was already reported Saturday afternoon by Sky that he would have his physical on Sunday or Monday (btw, that he has passed it successfully is a invention by sportsya - in Italy they only say that he did it yesterday. Though there won't be a problem, he played more than 40 matches since that.)

I'm pretty sure it was agreed with Real. That the match with Barca ended in a humiliation was just bad luck.

He was in Turin today for further tests, this time combining the infamous sunglasses with a cap. *ggg*

Pessotto was there, too. ;)

So I wonder where Canna stayed last night. Casa de Gigi, comforting his big emo goalie?

I saw pics of Iker out on the town with Miggy and Diarra I. Has he already been replaced as one of the Three Amigos?

Hi Gal...I was away for 2 weeks but i did catch the el classico. I thought canna was pretty good in second half but he & iker can't save RM from an obvious reason. I totally agree with Floh, the MF was atrocious.

OMG. so the juve deal is done? i don't wanna think about what juve fan reactions will be D: will juve start canna or play him as a back-up?
