Never been to Ireland but I'm sure you'll love it! Where is it, Dublin?

So far everything calm on D-Day: http://sport.sky.it/sport/calcio_italiano/2009/07/16/cannavaro_su_critiche_tifosi_juve.html

I heard there are no ultras today, they are expected to be there tomorrow though. :(

U2 in Ireland, eh? Where are they playing?

I would highly recommend going to the West and North--Dublin is an international city, but Connaught is still Irish through and through and Ulster (both in the Republic and Northern Ireland) is a unique experience.

Galway is a lot of fun, although it has been years since I've been able to visit. The Black Dove (can't remember how to spell the Gaelic name), in the Claughdah neighborhood, should still be there--a good place for trad music and set dancing. Then hit The Snack Box down by the river for greasy food. McDonaghs on Quay St. has excellent fish and chips.

Go to Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher (and farther south, the Dingle Penninsula, not the more crowded Ring of Kerry) for the scenery. The Arran Islands are also amazing (boat ride is rough, though) and famous for their sweaters.

The North is great for scenery and history (although they have painted over many of the famous murals, but for the good).

Good to have some Irish blood here. :)

BTW, Fabio had a very nice welcoming by the "normal" fans with "Fabio, Fabio" chants and loads of applause.

Tomorrow will be probably harder because of the ultras but I'm sure the boy is already happy enough to know that the majority is with him. And I'm, too. :))))

Whoa. If things were OK today, why are they interviewing him under cover of darkness?

Just kidding -- thanks for the vid!

Hal sweetie, I hope you don't mind if I abuse your journal for a Canna-at-Juve-picspam? It's for the good cause, you know? ;)

I was watching the videos of him returning and wearing the Juve gear last night and then looking at these... It's all surreal, seeing him there again. Is it 2009 or 2007?

Wait, is Diego really his roomie? Does Diego understand what that means?

And he looks like he wants to glomp Ciro. (Probably did in private.)

I very much agree on the surreal feeling seeing those pics above. It's as if Madrid never happened. Sorry Iker.

Speaking of Iker- that is not really him, is it?

Lucky Diego being his room mate, certainly a step up from sharing a bed with Sarah Connor, I'd say.

Have only been to Dublin once, Hal, so haven't really got any tips on Ireland to share. It is as green as they say though, hee. Oh and when in Dublin, don't spend money on a day/week pass for the public transport. The city is so very tiny that you can easily walk everywhere and you better get a normal ticket when taking the bus/dart to somewhere outside the town. Hope you're going to have a great time!!:))

*glomps and clings* sweetie, why would you ever think i'll object to a canna-spam? yes, he's orange, yes he's avoided using the moisturizer like the plague AGAIN, but he's in juve gear and WITH CIRO. (he looks great in that tee!)
