Well, I do love your books and world -- knowing it was there and I couldn't read it was more than I could take;) And your tone is about as far from the dense academic archaeology writing as you can get, which is definitely a pleasant break. I felt bad I wasn't involved in the week it came out festivities. And I can't wait for the next one, I have a feeling that there were lots of hints and things in this last book preparing for the next one.
And biggest *hugs* and condolences about the no book 5 thing (both for you and for me, cause I very selfishly want to read it. Owen!) I'll continue pimping in RL as much as I can. I still have high hopes that you will get to write it eventually, after your next big success.
I'm a huge What Not to Wear addict; I started off thinking I'd hate the show, but I just love it to pieces. Seeing all those women so happy about themselves at the end makes me smile. Plus, I would not mind at all getting a $5000 shopping spree and hanging with Stacey and Clinton.
Thanks mamakins! (and actually, before you mentioned it, I totally didn't notice the typo -- it's amazing what the brain/eyes will gloss over)
*hugs you*
It is always amazing to see Stacy and Clinton able to dress such a wide variety of people, and to make them look so amazing AND happy with the transformation. I totally have imaginary Stacy and Clinton sitting on my shoulders when I'm shopping. I'm starting to move away from sloppy jeans and oversized Ts, when it's appropriate. And Carmindy's tips really work.
*hugs you tight* Good to hear from you, pea of my pod! Thank you!
Wooooohooooo! (and I won't even have to catch up! That's so excellent to see Nathan on a popular show. Yay for recognition factor! Now Sean just needs more work...)
Awwwww. To bad about LJ being evol. I'll have to remember to check into your GJ account. *hugs more*
I'm really excited. I've never been anywhere like it. We're going to be going to the market where the aboriginal people bring things to sell. And possibly a weekend in the Kalahari, but another grad student says he says they'll go every year and never actually does. And I have a new digital camera, so there should be pictures galore.
I was just in Buenos Aires which was very, very awesome (except for the part when it snowed for the first time since 1918 and my flight was cancelled).

I have Casino Royal sitting on top of the TV ready to go. Damn, it was good! Thank you, and sorry I've had it so long.
And if I did borrow, I'd certainly get it back to you by then.
Alas. Though I'm sure I can get them soemwhere... I need to clean out my HD again.
Can't wait!
