Thesis=done!

Well, mostly done. In that I am uploading files to email it to my advisor for comments/revisions, so I don't have to think about it until I hear back about that. Thankfully it's really just a master's research paper, so I don't have to defend ( Read more... )

Thank you sweetie! I am so sad I missed Vancouver, but if I went I would not have been done in time to get revisions and go to Calgary. I saw some of brose's pics and I was even sadder. Everyone looked very beautiful.

I really hope so (ie, yes please!) - Tuesday?

Thank you so much!

It will be good to be around again (and to see you!)

I still haven't found a pattern. Searched all of ravelry, even. (I'm liquideyes there, btw). I just finished a hanamami (sp?) shawl, except for blocking. Though in making it I figured out that I'd been missremembering how to knit, and I'd been knitting through the back loop and not the front! It looks ok, but the stiches on every other row are twisted. Ooops. At least I know now... I hope I do make the sweater eventually. Once I've done a sweater or so (a couple of warm sweaters are next on my list - I have to reorganize my ravelry que), I may try my hand at designing the one I want...

I'm knitting a wisp (knitty) right now, and have to block the swatch for my tempest so I can start on that (knitty again). I have lots of knitting plans! I love your colour work -- that's somethign I don't think I'll be brave enough to try for a while! And congrats on your first lace shawl! I love knitting lace!

Oh, one chapter down (at least in rough draft form, with only moderate changes requested), and I prefer not to think about how many to go...

I'm aiming for mid-September for the next one. Gotta run some data before I write.

Are you all set for Calgary? Have a place to live lined up and so forth?

Thank you! Yeah, it's so nice to not have to think about it for a while -- but I must admit yesterday, without it over my head, I was so anxious and irritable and couldn't concentrate on anything. Today was deciding what clothes come with me, so it wasn't as bad:)
