Not sure about monologues, but for the song, maybe something from Hair or Godspell? Day by Day might work for you.

Hmmmm... I can't believe I didn't think about hair - I love the soundtrack so much. Though all the songs I like best from it are more the guys songs, my voice isn't big enough for most of the female vocals... But such a good rockmusical. I don't know Godspell at all, actually. I need to look it up. Thank you for the advice!

Ahahahahaa, my favourite call back is the "oh, my seat's wet" from the middle of that song:) Would it be weird to sing that one if I'm not auditioning for Janet?

Hi! I miss you lots too. I need to start blogging more...

I would stay away from Shakespeare altogether.

What about Frasier's Inuit Soliloquy from Due South?

Song, something from musical Buffy?

Yeah, though lady M and magenta are both crazycakes, which was why that would be the one... And I think I should stick with play monologues? I don't know how they feel about tv/genderbending... but it's an interesting suggestion, thank you, and I will take a look!

Is the buffy musical a rock musical? Going through the motions is very much a I have no range song, and the only other "rock" song is rest in piece... but yes, that is where my mind also went first, because it is <3

KC loves 'Walk Through the Fire'.

If you do Shakespeare, you really have to knock it out of the park, or else you're setting yourself up. It's freaking Shakespeare. It's like picking 'Ode to Joy' in the original German as your song choice.

I say this with love. :)
