We all believe something, even that something is the lack of existence of God. Her beliefs tell her that an end will come and explains how she can tell when it is coming. She's not crazy to be upset, either, if she truly believes the bible, then she has to believe that you, her offspring, who she loves dearly, will not be in heaven with her, but suffering in hell. She believes you'll be alone in the dark, hearing the screams of others suffering as you await your own fate: eternal pain. And that's scary to her. A true Christain would be crazy not to be scared for you.
Personally, I think it's just that we're coming so close to our carrying capacity of population and nature is taking control.

A friend of mine believes that the world is about to an end as well. But, ya know evangelists and Weekly World News have been saying that for years on end.
So. If it is in fact "the end of times" I'm screwed! I suppose I shall have seven years of suffering.

but i guess i kinda have the same deal w\ my mom. but she doesn't think the world is coming to an end. but whenever i'm upset as hell over something..bawling my eyes out. she pulls out the bible and tells me to read it and pray and yeah... doesn't help it just makes me disappointed that all i want to do is talk. not read the bible.
