What was the purpose of that maze's appearance, in the first place? Who would put monsters in it that were ready to-and in some cases, did-steal our hearts and turn us into monsters, ourselves

Oh no, so I wasn't able to protect everyone... I tried to defeat as many Heartlesses as I could, but it seems I failed...

And - and I've been here for longer than a month and yet I still didn't find a place to live myself. Everywhere I've been, it was so - I don't know... cold and lonely?

There are plenty of apartment blocks that are substantial enough to live in. Seems the Creator likes to be generous as well.

That may be true, that he's generous...but if we're just here for his amusement, my guess is he wants to observe us being both comfortable and uncomfortable...it bothers me.

Nice to make your acquaintance, Reeve. I'm Katara. I was unharmed from the Maze-I'm quite capable of defending myself-but it was quite disturbing. I actually witnessed someone transform into one of those monsters.
