Something I read in Ann's journal reminded me of someone who should be on Owen's thought-crime reading list. Said someone is Doublas R. Hofstadter. Note how the use of boldface is rivaled only by the naming of loft people. Anyway, brain miscreants should read his book described here if they get the chance

I've had Grants copy of this book for a few years. I'm about halfway through it.
