Bit of a shindig in Jimithy's last night, there were people from school there along with some of Jimmy and I's mutual friends like the Aoifes. With the...changing yerself so that people will like you more thing. Isn't it true that like...what one person considers a good quality in a person another would consider a bad one? Eg. say you laugh an awful lot, one person may find it very endearing and really like it, another might find it extremely offputting. Should you laugh less in order to be well liked by the latter? But in doing so you'll be liked less by former. Is the solution some kind of compromise? In which case, would you not be in danger of becoming some kind of jack-of-all-personalities? You know, the girl everyone can get along with, but no-one really *really* likes.
The only other way I can see would be to have a somewhat different personality depending on who you're talking to, which I think may be what you mean...but even the problem of talking with a group aside, that seems inherently dishonest to me..? I mean everyone does this to some extent, but I'd like to think it's a flaw in all our personalities, rather than something we ought aspire to..
