Manipulative Dumbledore
In this list I intend to collect fics where Dumbledore is manipulative, ranging from evil or insane Dumbledore who is willing to do everything to keep Harry under his control to a Dumbledore who is fully on the side of Light and only manipulates others because he thinks he knows best. There will be a second list to go with it, the "opposite", Grandfatherly Dumbledore and Dumbledore as mentor to Harry. (I'm primarily looking for stories where Harry is one of the ones most manipulated by Dumbledore but will take other stories if they fit the general theme.)
Any Harry/Snape-fics where Dumbledore plays an important role for the pairing (as catalyst, master-manipulator, obstacle or whatnot) belong in my Dumbledore in Harry/Snape-fics-list. So I will mostly only add Harry/Snape-fics to this list where Dumbledore is actively evil.
1) Dumbledore is dark and evil, insane or wants complete control over Harry
Fics where Dumbledore's manipulations are self-serving at best. He uses any and all means possible to gain control of Harry.
2) Dumbledore is manipulative but less obvious about it and not necessarily evil
There are also a couple of fics that I haven't read where I know that Dumbledore is manipulative but I don't know (yet) if he is evil. Until I know more about Dumbledore in those fics and can decide for sure that he is really bad, I'll sort them here by preference.
3) Dumbledore is somewhat manipulative but definitely on the side of Light and mostly well-meaning
This one also contains stories where Harry has lost his trust into Dumbledore and during the fic they end up mending their relationship. More often than not they manage to patch up the rift between them.
Also fics where Dumbledore is simply "human" and makes mistakes - which lead to Harry losing his trust into him and Dumbledore having to regain it lateron.
4) Manipulative Dumbledore but Harry doesn't appear in the story or is not a main character

Harry, after an injury, can't play Quidditch for a year and accepts the post of Flying Instructor at Beauxbatons. Stakes are raised when Dumbledore proposes an Interschool Quidditch Match.

Harry's life takes a sharp turn when he gets an unexpected visitor one night, who helps him on his way to finding himself. (Dumbledore is slightly manipulative but well-meaning and Harry still works together with him. Harry's friends Ron and Hermione also are a bit obnoxious: Hermione keeps pressuring about suppressing is grief, absolutely convinced that she knows best. Ron is a bit more self-centered than in canon and very much against Ginny dating, and by his behaviour also drives a wedge between himself and Harry. I expect this to be resolved soon, though.)

Harry/Pansy. When Pansy finds herself on the wrong side of Voldemort, she persuades her parents that only one person could help them. Harry. A story that looks at what could happen if Harry had someone who loved him, someone who would push him, and someone who would back him financially.

(D is mostly indirectly controlling in this and once he realizes he can't do that anymore, he kind of comes around and backs Harry willingly, seeing as he doesn't really have another choice.)
