Harry on a chocolate frog card

Feb 08, 2006 20:39

Not a very important part of any fic of course. Just thought it might be an amusing tidbit.

If you know any more fics where Harry has or gets a chocolate frog card, please feel free to tell me about it. Don't just leave a link, though: leave me a quick summary and some info on pairing, status and rating, please. Thanks. :-) And thank you everyone who contributed to this list.

Fics are sorted alphabetically in each category, articles not-withstanding.
NR means Not read, NRC means Not read completely.

I Can Read You Like A... by Majick. NR
Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione. They say that there's two sides to every story, but when Ron and Hermione have a row, Harry develops a crush and Ginny gets in a mood to push people out of trees, it might be more accurate to say this story has four sides. Sometimes seeing another side of things can be just what you need...

The Phoenix and the Serpent by ReaderRavenclaw. NR
The Death Eater had pulled his head out of the bell jar. His appearance was utterly bizarre, his tiny baby’s head bawling loudly while his thick arms flailed dangerously in all directions, narrowly missing Harry, who ducked. Harry raised his wand but to his amazement Hermione seized his arm.``“You can’t hurt a baby!”````Even if the baby is Voldemort?````Tom Potter, oldest son of Harry and Ginny, is off to Hogwarts at last. But why was his father so worried that he’d be in Slytherin? Why does the Sorting Hat seem to think that he’d already been sorted? And why does Professor Snape, the most feared teacher at Hogwarts, seem almost… scared… of him?
PG-13. WIP ( probably abandoned).

Prayer of a Child by Indarae. NR
AU. In 1984, the Lestranges and Barty Crouch, Jr. attacked the Longbottoms - we know Frank was an Auror, but what if the attack was part of a much larger plan? Who was he guarding? (A response to Severitus' challenge). Harry is rescued from the Dursleys in 1984 after an attack at their home. He goes to Hogwarts at first. While there they discover that Snape is his father, something that neither he nor Dumbledore knew. He looks like Snape and not James Potter. They cover up his scar and Snape legally changes his name to Herodos Iames Snape. He wanted a Greek name, because his mother's family is Greek, that would have Harry as a nickname. He is called Harry throughout the story. He is sent off to live with Snape's family in Greece and only sees his father over the holidays. When he comes to Hogwarts he has forgotten that he is Harry Potter. Part of this story is him trying to figure out the mystery of himself.

As he heals and grows emotionally, he learns how to enjoy life again. But there’s a war on, and Voldemort’s primary objective is to kill Harry Potter, by any means necessary. As a result, Harry and his friends have a very adventurous sixth year at Hogwarts. Canon-based with some OC.
