Work has been incredibly time consuming. It has eaten up all my evenings in this first week of lessons, not to mention all the behind the scenes work associated with admin and meetings before classes and that is only going to increase from here on in. I'm afraid I haven't had much more than an occasional peep at the flist.

I'm with you on DW...I'd like an account to have a bolt hole if anything happened with LJ but I really don't intend to move permanently - I'll run both if necessary.

As for Susan Boyle - the kids were watching it in the other room when I heard her singing and went to investigate so I caught most of it as it was aired! Had to go seek out the YouTube just to see what I'd missed - gorgeous voice!

Yeah, I have loosely followed what they have been aiming for since strikethrough, or was the kerfuffle after that? But either way, I like the idea of a friendly place like that if things stuff up here in LJ.

Yes, Susan Boyle has such a powerful voice. She really belted it out and got all her notes. Loved that lift, where the voice rises up 5 times, higher and higher. My spirit soars every time I hear it.

Yes, for me too - it's for 'just in case' but I also want to support it, as it's a good idea.

Yes, I hope she does too. She has a remarkably powerful and uplifting voice and I love her normalcy - no glitz or polish visually, but to me she is beautiful. I get sick of all the touched up, shaped up beautiful bodies. She's cute and bubbly while being quite down to earth.

Simon Cowell is a canny man, I can see him snapping her up - one report I read said he's seriously thinking about it. I agree fully with what you say, it is lovely to see someone so 'normal' and not polished. Good luck to her! It should be about the voice and not about whether you are tanned and long-legged and beautiful and a teeny-bopper.

Yes, I can see him doing something with her - I'm sure he's looking into the potential, but even if he doesn't I think she'll get other offers.

I'm so glad to hear she can sing something else as I was worried - looks like she'll have plenty of material for her other BGT auditions and her voice on this one is as beautiful as on "I dreamed a dream..."
