She was a Government Minister herself. They were at a meeting in the Cabinet office of COBRA, the high level committee that convenes in the face of a major terrorist threat. I would hazard a guess that she was supposed to be the Home Secretary (equivalent of the US Homeland Security post), who at the time this series was shot, was a woman, Jacquie Smith.
Oh yes, the women rocked! Hell, the whole series rocked. I´m not happy with what they did to Ianto and Jack and the Torchwood I loved is gone... but it was brilliant.
I guess we will have to wait and see. :-) I think that "reset buttons" are stupid but I wouldn´t mind one in this case that much (especially if it would mean getting Owen back), but yeah, if it´s at least half as good as COE, I will watch anything. Because I´m not one of those who "OMG can´t stop crying and will OMG never watch Torchwood again and RTD is evil personified and should burn in hell forever". *g*
Ooh, didn't know people were quite so upset! LOL! I'm definitely not one of those people. It was very sad that Ianto died, but that and Jack's sacrifice of his son was part of what made it so interesting! That's human/alien drama!
