Babies shouldn't have babies

So, I read this article on MSN.com about teen girls who (get this) want to get pregnant!  If I remember high school correctly, I seem to recall all my sexually active (and some non-active) friends avoiding babies like the plague.

Is this because these girls want to benefit from the government programs available for young and/or single mothers?  Are

i remember hearing some girls at work saying that they wanted to have babies because they wanted to be loved. i told them that's why i had cats, but they didn't seem to understand. ugh. fucking idiots i say!

Weird thought I've had

Sometimes I think the problems we've been getting as a society might come from side effects of having children younger. Younger mothers might be more active with their kids, better able to understand all that childish need to play, and just in some ways better able to cope with a kid. But not on their own. It might be easier to bond, but it wouldn't be something to do on your own. The whole older more set in their ways thing. Not meaning this applies to all women of course, but some women who try to plan their child as if it were a career move...
