Well, I won't go on too much about the game this weekend - what a heartbreaker. I still don't have my voice back completely - it was by far the best game I've ever been to - EVER! I've never seen the stadium that electric either, it was just unbelievable! I won't bitch & moan too much about it since it can't change now, but the way the game ended was just ridiculous - but thats what we get for having PAC 10 refs (same conference as USC). So sad & frustrating.... but I think our team earned a ton of respect for how well we played too. We didn't drop much in the polls either, still #9 in one, and #12 in another. We still will get into a great BCS bowl game I'm sure - hopefully the Fiesta bowl in AZ - that would be a nice weekend trip for us! :)
Hmmmm..other news... The Sox are going to the World Series - Mae, I know you're ecstatic!! Jason is already trying to con me into going. Not that it wouldn't be great- but paying $150 per ticket, for all of us? I don't think so! LOL. Maybe if his mom offers to go & pay! Not likely though!
Some of the above pictures are from the pep rally on Friday night too. Talk about insane - there were close to 50,000 at the PEP RALLY. Unbelievable! Joe Montana was there which was cool, and some old ND football players that went on to play in the NFL --- and the guy that played Jesus in "The Passion of Christ" - how funny! I never did see any celebrities - you wouldn't believe the rumors though of people that were on campus, LOL!
After the pep rally on Friday night, Jason took Payton home and me, my MOH, and Allyssa went to the Haunted House - we went in 3 different ones too, had a blast! Didn't get home till about 11.
Saturday was pretty much consumed by the game..
Sunday we went to MIL's for her b-day, then over to Jason's grandma's to visit at night.
Tonight we get a new bed! We finally got a king size mattress - and a really good one too!!! It's a telluride foam coil one or something, it's super super comfy - and supposedly has the no sleep disturbance kind of feel - so I'm excited for that - it gets delivered tonight after work!
My United Way event went really well on Friday. I had people saying they've been going to stuff like that for 25 years & haven't been to one that was that much fun, and still got the UW point across. Yeah!! :)

ETA: Oh yeah, Jason found out on Friday that he didn't get that job - they gave it to his friend who's actually working in that area now, which was totally reasonable. Jason was ticked though b/c his friend told him that HE was told Jason interviewed better than anybody, that if he (Kevin) weren't already in that area, Jason would've easily gotten it. I guess they're re-interviewing Jason today for another possible position in that area. Jason's not too keen on it though - it's not much of a step up - it's more money, but it's a supervisor position, kinda like he has now.. I told him if they want him bad enough, they'll offer it to him without traveling (this job has traveling & he refuses to do a lot of traveling!). So, he said he would tell them he'd only do it if they made him an in-house supervisor, and made the other one a traveling one. We'll see...
