Allyssa got her report card this past weekend & she has all A's! YEAH! She got a "+" for everything they don't grade - and get this... her READING level ( Read more... )

Ok, I was feeling bad and now I am even worse. Syd is doing horrible in school!! her reading level is 0, I am so upset. We try and try and she can do it but really struggles. I want to cry just thinking about it.

I am so proud of Allyssa, please give her hugs for me!

Don't feel bad! I am sorry I even posted it - your comment in email just reminded me. I had no idea Syd was having trouble in school!

Kindergarten is different though -- do they even have a level set for them? They are just starting to learn!! It takes time!!

Allyssa had a hard time starting out in K - it took her the whole first semester to even grasp the concept, then suddenly in the spring, it just clicked. I am sure Syd will do the same! She's still got plenty of time. The teachers probably aren't even worried about it I'm sure!

Don't be sorry for bragging about your daughter, you have every right this is your journal!

All I know is Charlie is at a level 4, I know this is his second year and he is a year older, but still.

I hope she starts to get it. We have been working with Flash Cards and reading with her everynight. She is starting to get it, she just needs the confidence.
