Having kids is so amazing, you want to protect them from making the same mistakes you did and you know you can't. You hear yourself sounding parental and think what the hell happened to who I used to be.
It's just crazy when you think about it because I still feel like a kid inside.

Lady seems like the perfect word for your mother and I hardly know her. Even if your daughter does have to learn the hard way, I guess now you know what your own mother went through with you, in just having to let you learn the hard way.
