I must admit, I was quite wary about this whole camping business, especially if the idea was entirely Professor Fletcher's (as some of his more devoted followers are so willing to assume). His teaching methods are distinctive, to put it delicately, and it is somewhat difficult for the more traditional student to see the value in being chucked into ( Read more... )

That's incredible, Lisa. A dragon? I only caught a glimpse of some tracks.

What did you think of the party?

Dean Thomas and I weren't so lucky. Had I spotted dragon tracks, even with the knowledge that it was merely a transfigured beast, I believe I would have run in the opposite direction and not stopped until I reached the east coast of North America, or the west coast of Norway. Whichever came first.

I thought it was exemplary, especially for a birthday party, when, with so many students, birthdays are being had left and right. I haven't yet done the math but I'm fairly certain that if parties of that particular proportion were being had for every birthday of both the staff and students of Hogwarts, the kitchens would be out of guacamole within a month's time.

It was vastly enjoyable on the whole, not to mention a learning experience. I now know to whom I should go, should I have need for assistance in planning a last-minute party. I also now to whom I should not go, should I ever want to discuss music while still expecting to have possession of my ear back before the end of the night.

Well, better you two ran into it than Morag and Neville. I heard their trip went less than desired (for most parties).

Priceless, that sort of knowledge. Though, I wonder who was in charge of the music? The same tracks must've been playing all night. Do you much like The Weird Sisters?

It was certainly unfortunate. I, myself, am grateful that I was partnered with someone who had some semblance of control over their wand. But she's much better now, thankfully.

No doubt I'll be able to apply it to future situations. I have nothing against them, unless the music is blaring at all hours. Why do you ask?
