This amuses me. The author seems a little hard on her own gender. I agree with almost all of it though. Some observations:
1 Many of the things that the author attributes to nice guys could also be attributed to kickass dogs.
2 Many nice guys don't get laid a lot because a) they actually restrain their sexual urges b) many of them get this restraint because they are either in a relationship with someone else or (though this next point is played up waaay more than it should be) gay.
3 Many of the roles played by the 'nice guys' are also played by women who help other women.
I used to have a dog like that, but my mom gave him to my boss when she moved to california. I still get to see him whenever I work though, so it's cool.
And gay guys tend to be pretty handy all around. It's always hard when you see gay guys who are doing pretty bad emotionally. Specifically Galen's pretty shaken up about how Joe keeps on forgeting that the two of them have a date.
