I should NOT buy a new mac just for the purpose of playing WoW, right?

(But man, BC has some serious lag on my poor little imac.)

NO, you should not. You're buying a kitchen!

Seems like a perfectly good reason to me. My last 3 computers were purchased to improve video game performance.

If Fun normally costs $20/hour, how quickly does WoW rack up $3k?

I did. And ... now I'm not even playing WoW. I'm playing games that won't run on my new machine, because they require OS 9! :-) But I don't regret it. With faster machine and video, WoW is even more awesome.

If you *do* decide to buy a new machine, you're probably ok with the built in video card. I got an upgraded video card and ... I wouldn't do that again. It's twitchy.

You think I can get away with a new generation iMac, or would I need a whole serious machine?

This is all hypothetical, of course. I should not buy a new computer. ;-)

You're a bad influence. But then, I've said this before.
