Ya hoo! (I'm so impressed, by your willingness as well as your effectiveness. :-)
Can't wait to see the pix.
As for the bathroom, yeah, it's good to have firm goals (like "before housewarming"), otherwise things fade in importance as you grow used to seeing them. :-/
I'd rather think of it as optimism and perseverance. ;-)
And, fade they will: when I moved into my previous house, I went around with a notebook and wrote down all the things that needed fixing -- I think the list ran to two-and-a-half pages, college-ruled -- I doubt a third of them were ever addressed. :-}
Really, I'm just aiming for a basic level of 'acceptable' before moving. I think I've achieved that now, with the exception of the downstairs bathroom. That... can be done after I move.
There's also the problem that the improvements I *want* to make will cost a LOT more money... :-)
In the meanwhile, I'm pleased with the changes I've made.
I just don't want people to actually *see* the downstairs bathroom in its current state. ;-)

That's my specialty. ;-)
Honestly, I'm kind of looking forward to having things fade in importance - right now, all I see are things that have to get done...
