I'm lousy at updating LJ. Especially lately. I'm slightly better at updating my facebook status. Requires less thought and fewer words. I feel like I should have something important or meaningful to say here. This is not that post

'oh, man, I'm going to have to shovel off my car AGAIN'
When I bought my first house, my dad was shocked/surprised/disappointed that it didn't have a garage ("How could someone build a house in New England and not put a garage on it??"). Now that I have a garage, that whole shoveling-off thing is all but an artifact of the past. I heartily recommend you get one -- it'll change your whole attitude (especially if it's attached to the house -- then taking your car somewhere isn't even like going outside). :-)
I finally installed my fist WoW mod, at level 76.*heh* I did the same thing: I was at 68 when the expansion raised the cap to 80. In my case, it was QuestHelper (I hear Carbonite is nice, but for the moment, I'll save the subscription fee). It certainly does speed things up. (Still, "the Seventies" seem like they are taking forever...and I'm only half-way through

Apparently there is a "free" version and a "full" (subscription) version. (Clicky)
I want to stay light on the mods - I've gotten used to the interface the way it is
*heh* "I want to avoid electricity -- I've gotten used to reading by candlelight..." ;-)
Seriously, though, while I imagine that there is such thing as too many mods, I haven't hit it yet. (I expect it depends on your machine.) I'm adding them as I find uses/needs for them.
As for auctioneer, I like having it, but it's not the be-all-end-all. Also, with the expansion out, most people seem to be playing level 70-80 toons, and the auction house has become pretty quiet for the junque I tend to sell. :-(
Re the level cap, so it was like you'd hardly been capped at all -- not much invested in the old end-game content, then -- good timing. :-)
I finally installed my fist WoW mod, at level 76. I'm not really sure what took me so long. I think I was afraid that installing a mod was the first step down the slippery path to true WoW addition.
Okay, you have a level 76 character, and you thought that a mod would be the FIRST step towards addiction? Are you familiar with the term "denial?"

And yet clearly they aren't. ;)

And re: when the level cap was raised - I had been at 70 for like 3 weeks. ;-)
