No, you're not the only one without an agent. And it's strong of you to say something about it. I worried about that when I was posting, but I would have hated more for Linda to think I didn't want to dump some love on her when everybody else was.
It's a funny, odd, business, isn't it? Everything changes so quickly. After ten years, I still feel so newish! As I've said before, my Katharine books were LUCK. I just happened to send an email to the right editor at the right time...
Here's lots of luck to all of us in 2010 to because I know we all have the talent part down!!
Hey! I met some kids at a Wildwood visit yesterday who you visited in Cape May County recently. All still talking about it. My husband liked your presentation at Annin, too. You actually got to visit his classroom.
It was definitely one of those cool small-world moments when he introduced himself. I had fun in his classroom. We are amazingly lucky to get to go to schools, have a ball, and get paid for it.
Hi! I'm sure it stung a bit for some who don't have an agent and want one but I didn't take it as braggy. I think life gets so busy and sometimes we do forget to thank those who make our lives easier. An agent certainly does do that! So, that's how I saw the shout outs.
One thing I've observed throughout the years on Verlas: agent love comes and goes. People sign and drop (or get dropped) all the time. It's such a frustrating business at times!

Also, I'm an owl, not a sheep. Owls don't flock. :-)
