i dont know if i should be happy or sad, flattered or mad but i see people plagiarizing or even copying most of my stuff. it hurts, and seriously! i have a headache right now! :)) should i be thankful that they used my products or must i bury hatred because they don't know how to be original? im so confused, and even more... skeptical. im losing

Hey you have every right to be upset when you find out that someone is copying your work!
And for the record you're already 'known', for me that is.
When I first encountered your LJ, it felt like 'this person must be known so much for graphics', just someone I haven't encountered before.
That is why I hesitated to add you way way back :)))))
But anyway.. It's okay ^^ rant all the way :)

And no, I'm not that courageous to click the friend button! ._. I'm just as scared of rejection as you are.
If I was courageous, I'd have more friends than mutual friends :))
When I was new in LJ, journals I encountered were all 'COMMENT TO BE ADDED!' and that really turned me off, thinking that a lot of people are not that friendly..
But from time to time, I add random people after talking to them in comments. I still ask 'mind if i add?'

i think it's ok to be upset but you have right too to claim your work to the user who use it..i think it's better to say it out than you keep it only in your heart.. :)

well there was once an instance i politely spoke to a person after she wrote her name on my graphic, i wrote up a paragraph and got 3 cold words in return. maybe i upset her too so i try avoiding direct confrontation. but i think releasing your feelings once in a while is good too :) ill try doing that sometimes but ill take care of what i release =)))) because the counterpart has emotions too :))

what if you make watermark on your works so that no one can claim it as their own? some layouts, pics, and icons can have watermark if i'm not mistaken..

we are in the place where people can take someone's work, edit it, and make it as their own.. somehow we have to deal with that.. -_-"

Well, I totally understand how you feel. But at the same time I have no solution to ease your trouble.

Graphic plagiarizing seems to happen so openly isn't it. While fanfic and fanart does have a dedicated comm where you can report the user/poster whenever plagiarism occurred, I have not found any comm for graphic that take such action.

But for my case I only deal with icon and gifs. I dont mind if they dont credit but when some taking w/o even say thnks, its pretty annoying....Even though I do spend a lot of time on them, its not as much as layouts and coding that you done so I do understand your frustration here.

yay! graphic makers unite :)))) i know you'd be one of those who would understand what i mean the most.

yes it does! adding that graphic makers are coexisting plus increasing by the second. for me it's not really the point of reporting, i trusted too much they wouldn't do something that would break my heart. i relied on self-discipline. it's not that i thought others wouldnt follow, i was just shocked they could actually do things like that later on.

it's true how a thank you could reverse everything, how much impact it has. that's why i feel very special if a person takes the time to drop a comment by. *exactly my feelings now, RUNS TO HUG YOU* icons and gifs are just as important! works deserve appreciation and that should be communicated to the person. you know how much i love your graphics, hihi! ♥♥♥ im just really hoping they could be honest with everything, regardless what form of graphic it is. everyone deserves a little piece of respect
