Father of mine

Last night I got a phone call from my dad.  I haven't seen/talked to my dad since last fall when he came out to Long Beach for my grandma's (his mom's) funeral.  I thought he was calling because he found out somehow that Kevin and I are moving but it was actually an out-of-the-blue call, asking for us to have a relationship again

Fathers can be... interesting. I found our recently that mine became a minister and moved to Texas. :\

I can't imagine how exciting and hard this must be for you. I hope and pray that this will be the beginning of a strong relationship with your dad. I've also been thinking about my relationship with Sophie. I need to really ponder whether its the right decision to move away from her. I know it would be good for me, but would it be good for her . . . me being so far away. I have not made a decision yet but its something I'm thinking about every day. Thank you for your post.
