Last night I just finished a great book called "The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay" by Michael Chabon and tonight I'm going to finish another book I've been reading, "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver. Trust issues
I've had two experiences in the past week that have me thinking about trusting strangers and both happened to be at coffee shops. Purging
So beginning yesterday the cleaning/purging/moving process has begun! Yesterday I spent two hours cleaning the apartment, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, etc. Then today, Kevin and I spent SIX HOURS going through closets and files and throwing out a shload of stuff! Big changes!
This afternoon I got a phone call from one of the prospective jobs that I had interviewed for in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago to let me know that...I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a while now I have been wanting to delve into photography and really improve my skills. I mentioned in an earlier post how much I'm obsessed with adayinmylife and I've recently stumbled upon selfportraits and of course am now even more obsessed with this community.

I would get a job offer (and my husband too) in San Francisco and move up there by the end of this month!! I had just decided that my goal is by July 1st, so this Writer's Block prompt was perfect.

Texting, the youth of today, and parenting (a little bit of everything here!)
I was listening to Patt Morrison on NPR on my lunch break and she was discussing an LA Times article that just came out about youth and texting. She said that there was one teen in Orange County (go figure) who sent/received the most amount of text messages...24,000 in one month!! How is that possible?!
