My “baby” is thirteen years old. I will be 50 in March. I still have maternity underwear in my dresser. Maybe I should get rid of it.

I got an email from Tornadic Teen’s school today about the MEAP (standardized tests in MI). Of course, I ran into the living room and told him with a serious voice “I just got an email from your school.”

Without missing a beat, Tornadic Teen said, “I didn’t do it. It is not my fault. It was like that when I got there.”

Tornadic Teen wants me to get Life Alert. He says he is afraid he is going to come home from school and find me dead. That is really not something he should be worried about. My dad died at 50, but I’d like to think I might live a bit longer.
