Scheduling.

My schedule for this semester blows and I have to drop/add most of my classes. Right now, I'm having a problem. I need one more class. I have 2 options. I can take an Intro to Ethics class at 2:00, or I can take a Sociology of Childhood class at 12:00 ( Read more... )

Personally, I would try and take the class that is most relevant to my major. I'm sure if you tell Osborn you don't have a lunch break she'll allow you to eat a large snack during her class. She's very understanding. Like you can make a lunch or snack or whatever the night before or that morning and then when you go to class you won't have to worry if all you'll be concentrating on is food during the class. Then after the class you come "home" and have a real lunch. If you take the other class that just means you have to be in class longer. ANd if thoughts of concern have already crossed your mind about Terry being a distraction/competition/or an akward situation if you break up then maybe it's best to steer clear from that class. It could potentially distract you from the class itself. You don't need another Matt situation. But that's my opinion. :P I hope whatever you choose works out!

Also consider: is your lunch break long enough to be able to go back to your townhouse? Is it worth it? You have to take both those classes (I'm guessing), so I think you should just take the one you want to take ... screw Terry, or tennis - just do your thing (although tennis is pretty cool...and so is Terry...)Good luck...

Personally, I think Soc of Childhood sounds fascinating. I would take it just because it would be uber interesting. Not to shortchange Ethics, which I'm sure could generate some engaging philosophical discussion as well, but I think the decision should be based more on the what class you prefer and is more relevant than with who might be in it.

It's true that Terry could be a distraction or potentially awkward, then again, he could be a helpful resource to discuss the subject matter with. The four hour block with no break [except between classes] isn't too bad, [I've gone for five and a half before]. If you can't munch in class at all it could be tough, although you can always catch bites between. Overall though, I would say to choose more based upon the classes you prefer Tennis/Ethics or Socimiology than the other factors.

And if you are playing tennis, I challenge you to a match! :)
