Prisons as a CORRECTIONAL facility?

So I'm supposed to be studying for my philosophy class, but instead I'll rant a little in LJ. Today, boys and girls, I will be discussing prisons. This is literally a brand new opinion of mine that has resulted from various readings, facts, and speakers. I never considered prison to be a problem, or something that required serious work. About the newspaper thing...I'm just kinda ranting to get it out of my system. I'm not the type of person to go around trying to convince everyone that I'm right and they're wrong. Thats why I like the livejournal, cuz its my journal so I can say whatever I want and people don't have to read it. Thanks though, that makes me feel good :)
