Damn you and your profitable job. I've been working useless lunch shifts in which I get cut after two hours and have only made $30. I might be feeling slightly better after my shift tomorrow night *prays for buttloads of money*

Know of any sneaky little suggestions to boost tips? I smile, I'm nice, and I get the food out quick. So why do some bastards give me $2 on a $20 check?

Unfortunately, some people just suck. No matter what you do, they are just cheap by nature and will never leave more than 10%. Happens everywhere. I don't really have any sneaky tricks...maybe if you have a table with kids, if you take a straw and scrunch the wrapper down around it really tight, and slide it off, then put a drop of water on it, it squirms around like a worm :) Some kids like it. But then they do it and it makes a big mess. And I know how much you love kids. Oh well.

And as much of a dick as it makes me sound, suggest appetizers and other expensive things. Make it seem like appetizers and dessert and just natural parts of the meal, not extra special things. The salad bar at Ruby Tuesdays is probably a great bet for you to suggest (as they've probably mentioned). Cuz if they're gonna tip you 15% no matter what, you might as well try and make that 15% a little higher.

Waitressing just blows. Not only are you a server, but you're a salesperson as well. Tip well, people.
