Thank you! Apparently, early-morning joint pain and stiffness is a big red flag for RA and PA. I boggled a bit when the doc asked about it, as I had just chalked it up to getting older and my body not being as limber as it once was. I'm kind of hoping for a positive diagnosis, even though RA and PA are pretty serious, as it means that effective treatment is that much closer and having less pain would be fabulous.
Thank you! This med robs the body of folic acid, and getting more folic acid is supposed to help minimize and even prevent side effects. I don't know if there are any herbs that are high in folic acid, but if there are those would be good things for me to get in tea form. Drinking teas will help with staying well-hydrated.
My go to antinausea cure is ginger, usually candied ginger or ginger beer. I've also been known to put candied ginger on oatmeal or in a teacup and pour water over it. I don't know if it works for you.
Thanks for the reminder about ginger! It's one of my first-tier responses to nausea, but I had forgotten about it when I was assembling my kit for this medication. I've got some in the house, and will try those candies too.

I've never tried them but they were suggested to me by a doctor since one of the medications I take is pretty hard on the stomach.
