Lisa - You and poor Jennifer w/the ephemera is priceless. Good for your family for fighting the good fight. I imagine Portland wasn't as reliably Democratic when we were kids as it is now.
I wonder if your folks were friends w/my buddy Charles Rynerson's parents; he was in your class at Grant and his dad ran a news store in downtown Portland.
My dad was also the founder of the Oregon Democratic Fund and responsible for bringing more of them into the Oregon system in the early 70s. Definitely the good fight... a little afraid to call and see how he's faring today.
Don't think our parents mingled, did Charles' go to the Grant reunion?
Lisa - I don't know for sure if Charles went to the reunion. He would have had the easy option to; he and he family moved from San Diego back to the Portland area (Gresham) a couple years ago. He's working for the census data office at Portland State.
I know he went to Eugene too; he got an Econ degree like me and our birthdays are like a week apart. (More Venn Diagrams!) He and I worked together at San Diego Unified for about seven years.
