Proving my point about Lisa

According to this, Lisa should have got in ahead of Leah LaBelle in an ideal Top 12 and Lisa should have scored the highest in her group (also, Suzy is tied with John and Matt for the 11th spot). And with the new system I imagine they would have.
The last poll doesn't seem to have any connection to the voting pattern in previous polls, though. Oh

not only according to the poll, but according to everyone in america who had eyes and ears that night! its all just a big hunk of bullshit. thank the good lord its over. hahaha. i cant wait for her new album to be released. :D

One year later and I still haven't stopped ranting about how I think Lisa and Marisa should have beaten Matt and Camile. Lisa's brill but unfortunately sales aren't directly proportionate to talent... they're about publicity and material. Let's hope she gets enough of both. Succession isn't exactly J or Arista.

no problem. i'm a little cynical about the record industry in america, i guess... the failure of cds by people like deborah cox and ben jelen has sort of jaded me with regard to talent equalling sales. i hope for the best, though, and with the right push lisa can make it really big.
incidentally, do any of the other semi-finalists have record contracts? i know that neither matt nor camile has a record contract :)... all the other finalists have contracts except leah, jpl and amy, i think - jasmine's just been offered one. all the more testament to the travesty that was that group's semi-finals.
