casa de lish now contains TWO pets!

Adventures in lizard wrangling!

Awesome - and yes, how scary and upsetting to find your new companion *gone* like that! So glad you guys found her and got her out safe.

What a neat looking gecko! I don't have a lot of experience with knowing the different kinds, but his color is very pretty - i like his spots! The 'glittery' snakes are gorgeous, as well. Reptiles are so amazing. They're not the pets for me, but they are so very intriguing.

RIGHT? especially when it's such a long-term commitment. they're so so happy today.

yeah, rainbow boas are some kind of amazing. but sobek's smile can't be beat. ^_^

idk why these odd questions keep popping up in my noggin but what would happen if sobek met vasuki without supervision?

and wow what a cool lizard story, the poor thing must have freaked the hell out.

well, vasuki isn't a lizard-eating snake & so far sobek is far more "run away & hide", so they'd probably just get away from each other & not care. they both have teeth though, & don't live in the same area as each other, so they will never be introduced.

haha yeah, but she'll be okay. :) i've been watching her all day - daniel set up a lizard cam & it's been rad watching her. sobek is nocturnal, so it's fun to check in on his cam, but he's rarely doing anything but napping while lights are on.

he's currently sleeping IN the rabbit's foot fern. -_- silly geck!

haha yeah. today daniel had a separate laptop set up showing a webcam on the lizard - a monitor for his monitor monitor.
