2014 Year In Review Survey

I thought about just skipping this tradition this year since I'm currently gripped by a mild winter depression that is going to affect all my answers. But I'm going to try and ignore that nagging, negative inner voice and try to write about this year without too much angst/pessimism.

1. What did you do in 2014 that you'd never done before?

I'm sorry it was a flat year for you. FWIW I'm impressed with all you've done and conquered in 2014 <3

Thanks! Not sure about the conquering but I'll keep working on it. :)

I know you're feeling a bit mopey right now due to the SADs (it's funny, I actually seem to get my strongest waves of depression in summer... I think it has something to do with the sense of panic and obligation to Have A Good Time around Christmas, New Year's and my birthday) but I am really envious of the adventure you're on right now ( ... )

Noooo that wasn't a pointed comment directed at you! It's just me being anally precise (er that sounds weird but hopefully you know what I mean) with my words. Also the lack of regularity is totes half my fault anyway!

But thank you for such a lovely comment and you are doing an excellent job of staying connected with me! *much hugs*

I have a similar thing with Christmas/New Years/birthday depression but these days it's a less a sense of panic about social/happiness obligations and more a reflective kind of loneliness and the Oh God It's Another Year Over and I'm Still Alone feels #singleforever

It is your birthday soon and I will be sad to miss it! We should Facetime or Skype or something some time.

I have Skype hooked up, let's do it :)

I feel you. New Years especially is gross because you have this awful sense of THIS SHOULD BE THE BEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR and you always end up doing whatever sort of comes up, oh I guess this will do.

It doesn't matter how many times you say "I'm gonna boycott new years" - you still end up a bit melancholy. At least you do if you're me. I guess being a non-drinker is definitely not helpful :P
