I long ago concluded that campus newspapers have no idea how to properly cite a source, represent an accurate quote or fact check for that matter...When I was an undergraduate, my friends made a pin reading "I was misquoted in the D!"

I got a real kick out of the pro-lifer claiming that women are "dying" from legal abortions...no proof necessary. Say it and it gets into print no matter how outrageous the claim!

Sheesh...

indeed. our student news paper is infamous for misquotes and other errors. however, it is still the best way to advertise on campus. i suppose even misrepresentation is good representation. at least now the pro-lifers will bash me in the "letters to the editor" section and hopefully the pro-choicers will feel sorry for me and drag their asses to one of my meetings... wishful thinking i know.

i may steal your friends idea and make myself a button though.

your instinct was correct...I checked out the paper to see if there were pro-life letters waiting for you...

she should send the paper a thank you letter for giving her an out of context bean bag chair to jump up and down on...

You know, I suspect that there are an equal amount of women that die in childbirth as are there that die in REPUTABLE places that provide abortions. Do you have any stats per chance? I think it's so cool that you're doing VOX even with all of those hours you work. Yay for reproductive freedom. I think that a lot of people at MSU see the State News as the load of bunk that it is. It's just something to read in class, but, then again, when I was a freshman, I thought it was pretty cool, but that was for the comics ( ... )
