Tiny snippet from Haldir's time in Imladris.

Dance

He watched them dance in cool stone halls, saw them sedately tread the steps, their faces composed and dark hair hardly moving as they all turned simultaneously, weaving artful patterns. They had practiced the steps since midwinter.

Aww, thank you, Idhressel! I had a lovely birthday. :-)

I definitely don't think I'm a master at drabbling, but it's fun to write them.

It's also a good exercise in cutting superfluous words and focusing on choosing the right words, something that I really, really need to work on - probably a typical problem for ESL writers, but something you native English speaker don't have to worry about. *g*

That is one of my major problems. Thanks to help from a lot of people, Los Gloriol not the least of them, I feel I'm just starting to cut down on superfluousness, wait, that doesn't sound right, but it is true. Colab-ing with Is has helped a lot too.

The two of you have inspired me to do more drabbles.
