UPMT and Extended Essay
Mock Trial Districts was today.
After a tense, nerve-wracking morning, we made it to the King County Courthouse. We were assigned our jury room. We anxiously awaited who would go first. Prosecution. Just our luck. Poo. But I was actually happy. Even though I wasn't super prepared. Nothing was really memorized super well (Dammit). But the other team was not very good. We were able to show off without having them drag us down too far. My cross of Whiz was the most challenging. Anywho - we won that trial - phew. Merit and David did wonderfully well (the other people on my side!) Then to defense! Which rocked because I got to be a witness. Her name's Sky Willow. She's the girl I cross on my side, so I knew her statement pretty well. I only had a week or so to prepare for this - becuase the original witness got sick/flaked out/something - so yeah. But I had a great time doing it. I'm excited i got to be a witness. Defense did an awesome job as well. They stomped on the other team as well. The guy who was crossing me - wow. He just asked a completely open-ended question recounting an event that totally helped the defense's case. Yeah. I had fun. Then he tried to impeach me on something totally bogus.
I got nominated for best lawyer and best witness! totally bomb!!!
We placed third overall. Which was perfect. We're going to state and we didn't have to do a final round! [I feel a bit apologetic to the people on our team who actually wanted to place first. As for me, I was tired and sick.]
I'm done with my Extended Essay! Well not quite. I need to do TONS of editing. As in, I haven't done a once over yet...Umm tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my mom's birthday - which I've sadly negelected..
I also have a brown interview. Poo. 11 am. Double Poo. I dont think i'll get in/go there anyway! O well.
But speaking of Pooh - GPOOH! SOO SOON! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY
