About 7 years ago, a quartet of kittens were apparently dumped on my parents' back driveway off a rural road. After much cajoling and seeming brutish methods (garden hose in the culvert) we caught them. They were christened Growler, Emma, Little Girl and Pee-Wee

I've got a friend who had 6 cats at the beginning of the month. She's lost two (one to old age, the other to cancer) and two more are sick with various problems.
