i've been on a freaking roller coaster. yesterday was rock bottom after losing bert kitty- today sky high when i went to the dr's for a check to make sure i ovulated

Skip the stick, if you possibly can--they can do false negatives (rarely a false possitive, but false negatives), especially early, and you don't want to stress yourself over what you THINK is a negative that's really a positive.
