I'm at work now and internet-less at home, so I can't help too much now, but I have a link to a masterlist of masterlists for HP that you might not know of: http://s8219.livejournal.com/68732.html
There is a comm for Carson/John fics where each fic is added in an entry and themes are tags. By viewing a certain tag page, you have a themed list. Would that be ok for this? (I could add them to the del.icio.us - I hope I'll find an ISP for home soon)
There are some 'essential fics' lists on sgatlantislight's journal for minor/rare characters/pairings (mainly non-McShep :) ) I could make a list of these, and add them, if they fit.
