Holiday Countdown Day 19

DAY NINETEEN

Movie
Today's movie is a holiday classic that no one saw coming. On paper"The Nightmare Before Christmas" shouldn't be such an awesome Christmas movie. But it works. It's amazing. And I'll be humming the damn songs all day, I just know it. Snake eyes?!

Book
Today's book is by an author best known for "The Peter Rabbit" stories. "The Tailor Of Gloucester" by Beatrix Potter is about some mice who help a poor tailor out. Wonderful story with beautiful watercolours.

Song
Since "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is such an upbeat movie (kind of weird to think about it, but it is) I thought some upbeat Christmas music would be great for the day. Remember, it's only 7 more days until the big day. Lets put a skip in your step.

Everyone knows this song. But not everyone has heard this version of it. I love this one and it's a song that my Mom does a line dance to every year in her dance class.

I know I know, you hear this on the radio all the time. But I still LOVE this song and want to dance to it.

Another song I love to dance too. I told you there would be more Johnny Manthis on the list.

This is a remake of their number one hit "Boogie Woogie Chocho Train"... but for the holidays.

My gal told me to include this one, I kinda like it.

Craft and Recipe
Today's recipe is Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies. The only thing is that the one I used was from my Better Homes & Garden cookbook (best cookbook ever, get it!). Instead of creamy peanut butter I used chunky peanut butter and besides using regular Hershey's Kisses I also squished in carmel filled Kisses. Damn. Now I want cookies.

Mmmm, those look really yummy.

So you've been baking. You've been cooking. You've been doing all sorts of stuff and find that you have a bunch of glass jars with tight fitting lids. What do do with them? Why not make a Snow Globe! Lots of fun and a craft you can do all year long.

Fanfiction
Today's fic has a strange title... I'm not sure you can really call it a title, but it's still a really good fic. "Bard Challenge III" by Alex is yet another Christmas Carol fanfic story this time in the Xenaverse as an Uber story. Wonderful story and definitely worth the Honorable Mention award from "The Royal Academy of Bards." Have a fun time with this story!
