Steve turns 50 today. Between the two of us we span a century - and Jay says we are not old!! Ha!

I'm sure he'd appreciate any birthday wishes you might care to send his way, and if you're in the neighborhood, there will be cake at 7:30 pm.

I have a friend who is very special to me. Ours is an unlikely pairing, and it hasn't been without its conflicts, but he continues to enrich my life in too many ways to count. I first grew to love him as a barely 17 year old and have enjoyed watching him mature into the fine young man I am proud to consider my friend today.

I went to Bunco tonight, and even though I am not close friends with any of those women, there is a comfort to be found in their company. Much as I love my young friends, there are parts of my life and feelings that they don't understand and cannot relate to that are simply givens among my peers ( Read more... )

Look at my new animated icon! Sid made it for me! It is totally cool. Alden is going to put it on MySpace too, and it will be my new Fairy Bandmother logo. :)

I quit my job on Friday. Now I am unemployed.

You know what?

I don't care.

I didn't realize what I said - I guess that is an expression that doesn't enter my mind...

I meant under much pressure for stupid things. I am not enjoying my job anymore - in fact, I am not sure I'll be doing it much longer.

I thought I could ignore Easter, but Sid thought "it would be nice...." if the Easter bunny came, and Steve kinda wanted a real dinner - baskets of chocolate eggs appeared (the Easter bunny apparently doesn't do mail - so I will have to mail Joelle's myself) and I made a leg of lamb ( Read more... )

I went thru the show websites and found 4 of our bands who are coming in April and May - so I sent them all emails.... wonder if they'll stay with us?

Only time will tell - I hope so!
