Okay, so - this doesn't screw up my flist or anything, so don't get worried, but - both times you've posted this image? It overflows the box somehow and half the image is under the 'comment' link on my flist, and the other half is in the box that shows your post.

I don't know why, and it's very weird. But it doesn't screw anything up, and all the links work, it's just...weird.

Here, I did a screencap: http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/tabaqui/2954370/10344/10344_600.jpg

That really is odd. I wonder if that's because the image is tall and I have almost no writing outside the cut.

Possibly. But you'd think it would just size the box up, anyway? Totally weird.

'Hell, she'd drilled that rule of good manners into Art with fervor that the man would drive halfway across town to see if someone's house lights were on before calling them at night ( ... )

I think this pairing is going to be a little more personal and a lot less political. One of the reasons I wanted different pairing was that that I could explore different tones. And frankly, not everyone agrees about the source of magic or what the guides are doing, and I like to throw wrenches in the simplistic thinking of others.

Interesting case. I can't help but wonder if Art's mother's apartment complex is somehow related. Looking forward to seeing where you're going with this.

Tangentially, but probably not in the way you mean. The case and the personal life have common threads, but you aren't looking at one criminal.

"And the suspect only shot the head?" Hernandez's eyebrows went up.

"Yep."

"Nothing..." He gestured toward his crouch.

Did you mean crotch?

And as an L&O SVU fan and a fan of sex crimes, this part was funny.

Hm. This killing is quite intriguing.

And Poor Art and his Mom. I have a feeling Art would rather be working the scene.
