It's funny, but a story I love becomes a steaming piece of crap I want to burn the second the editing process starts... and the longer the editing takes, the more I hate it.

But if I don't go through the pain now, I will get shredded by reviewers later. Why do I write??

Emotional masochism and an overactive imagination. ;)

Because your writing is what I turn to when I'm feeling like crap and need a pick me up, when I'm happy and want to keep that going, and when I'm desperate for some good writing and creative ideas. And you're a wonderful person who likes to bring joy to people's lives?

And some emotional masochism. Definitely some of that in there.

Thank you. When I'm in the edits swamp, sometimes I need that lifeline.

Well thank you. I just wish I could do the writing part and then ignore all the rest.

you write because you are good at writing! I have enjoyed many many of your stories! When you get to the point you want to shred something, have a pause. Do something you love, do something to take your mind off of it completely. then go back. Just don't stop. To be selfish I love your writing to much to want you to stop. please keep going!

Well thank you very much. If I did stop, I think my brain would explode with plot bunnies, so you're safe, but I do like to whine sometimes.
