I'm not as eloquent about this movie, but I agree on all points. I've loved Wonder Woman since I was small, and I was concerned how DC's feature film would go because some of their previous ventures have been weaker than I'd like. However, this film was wonderful in a thousand different ways.
YES, to all the things you said here! So much fucking yes. :)
I was pleasantly surprised, because sometimes people get all happy about something for reasons that don't necessarily make a good, watchable movie. But this *did*, and was, and i really enjoyed it.
Also, re: Justice League...I hope so. With Whedon now at the helm (and his atrociously horrible WW script out there), I'm a bit on edge.
From now on, I want every movie to have main characters that respect and support each other. I want women to have their own goals and arcs, and I want storytellers to do this without taking away the men’s.
I love reading reviews like yours because they make me see things I hadn't seen the first time. I so agree with you and it is truly a beautiful thing. Wonder Woman actually gives me hope for Justice League. Going into Wonder Woman I only had one mantra, please don't suck. So many of the DC universe movies have to some extent. I'm hoping this is a turning point.

This might make your day, though.
