Is there anyone who is still reading over here? Sometimes I see my LJ and I miss the times when this was a big part of my life, but then I don't see much going on in the old communities.
*waves* I'm still reading here. I go to DW first, then come to LJ to read those who don't crosspost. I do crosspost, and I've been trying to do more posting lately, but then I get distracted and don't for a week or more.
As someone else said, there seems to be more activity on DW, and there are more communities... but large parts of fandom seem to have moved to Tumblr. I've recently fallen in love with The Old Guard movie, and it seems like 95% of the fandom activity for that is over there... and I just don't get Tumblr at all!!! It seems almost impossible to carry on an actual conversation

Hey hon, so lovely to see your name pop up in my flist. Yes things are pretty quiet, especially in the corner of the Buffy fandom we frequented but there are still little activities raising their head from time to time. Summer of Giles starts July 1 and it's always fun to read/participate in.
The heyday of Buffy... those were the days. And it's good to know that some corners of the fandom are still running. I miss Taming the Muse. That was a wild ride.
I have very fond memories of Taming the Muse - I can honestly say I wouldn't have written a lot of my stories without having gone through that pressure cooker of having to write every week. I skype with thismaz every week and we often talk about those days :)
I'm still here mainly for Sentinel and Pros people, and mirror posts on DW - or maybe it's more mirror DW posts on LJ. I do a lot of my actual fandoming on tumblr these days.
Yeah, DW was the beginning of the end for LJ. Or rather, the Russian buyout of LJ leading to DW was the beginning of the end. It seems like quite a few people have moved to tumblr

Tumblr? Huh. Well, the fandoms move on and sometimes I feel like I don't so much. Hell, I wax poetic about listserv days.
