The drug behind the sleep in Tylenol PM is diphenhydramine (an antihistamine), if you're curious, and Tylenol makes a pill that only has diphenhydramine in it called Simply Sleep. If Tylenol PM makes you sleepy, so will anything with diphenhydramine in it!

My OB said the sleepy ingredient is also found in benedryl, and I could take that too!
